Lincoln Ellis

Lincoln Ellis is a 2011 graduate of UCLA School of Law. Mr. Ellis' commitment to employees' rights can be traced back to his days as an undergraduate student, where he advocated for fair treatment for campus employees and overseas workers who produce university-licensed apparel.

After college, Mr. Ellis spent almost two years in Brazil, volunteering at a leading Brazilian human rights organization that uses United Nations and Inter-American Human Rights Commission mechanisms to advocate for reform of police practices and prison conditions in Brazil.

Mr. Ellis also worked for several years as a union organizer in Canada, primarily representing and advocating for migrant farm workers. After working on a lawsuit to challenge the constitutionality of an Ontario law that provides no legal mechanism for farm workers to engage in collective bargaining, Mr. Ellis decided to apply to law school.

At UCLA School of Law, Mr. Ellis was an Emil J. Stache scholar and received a certificate from the Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. During law school, Mr. Ellis held internships or clerkships with the Bet Tzedek Employment Rights clinic, the Public Counsel Immigrants’ Rights Project, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Weinberg Roger & Rosenfeld, and Hadsell Stormer Keeny Richardson & Renick LLP. Mr. Ellis was also a member of the Los Angeles Public Interest Law Journal and Managing Editor of the Globalization and Labor Standards newsletter. Mr. Ellis was an election observer to the Philippines elections in 2010.

Mr. Ellis joined the Board of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild in 2012, and is a member of the ACLU of Southern California Next Generation Board. Mr. Ellis speaks Spanish and Portugues fluently, as well as conversational French.
