January 2010: HSKRR’s Anne Richardson and Randy Renick prevail in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in UNITED STEEL v. CONOCOPHILLIPS . In a published decision, a unanimous panel reversed a lower court’s ruling, holding that the lower court improperly held that plaintiffs' “on duty” meal period in a wage and hour case could not meet class certification requirements. The case has been remanded back to the District Court.
